Some temporary setbacks..
Hey everyone,
I’m not pleased to be sharing this, but it looks like The Destruction Project will be put on hold for likely the next 2-3 weeks. My current dev computer has decided to call it quits, or at least move into retirement. It’s been a good 4 years with this machine, and I’ve learnt most of what I know in Unity with it. I have a standard HDD and it’s been slowly dying. The last straw however, occurred recently as my GTX1050 has decided it will no longer run programs. I can still use my machine thanks to the integrated GPU, however developing 3D games with this is nearly impossible.
The good news is I have a new computer already on the way! it’s going to take a little while to get here, but when it does I expect to be more productive than ever. I will be upgrading from a 7th gen i5, to the current gen i7, with an SSD and RTX2060 to compliment. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited.
Because of all this, obviously no new updates will be released for up to a month. In the meantime I will be working on some code to convert my vehicle controllers into commercial assets to potentially help fund the project forward, (or at least streamline my own projects).
Thank you all for your continued interest and support regarding The Destruction Project!

Has it been 2-3 weeks yet?
Hey Crisp,
So I updated the page with a slightly more detailed note. As much as I hate to do this, I have to resign myself to shelving this project for now. There is a lot going on behind the scenes in forcing this decision, but right now I am feeling fairly defeated in the matter. I have not been able to work on the project nearly as much as I would have liked, unfortunately the final nail in the coffin happened a couple months back when I lost all of the progress I had made on the rewrite. Sitting on a blank slate, I tried to begin again but honestly I lost my motivation after the loss and haven't touched it since November. I hope to revisit this someday, I really do.
CrispKat, you have helped and supported this project since basically the beginning and I can't thank you enough. Thank you for helping me through bugs, and taking the time to record your gameplay, that meant more to me than you know.
Thanks for the update. Massive loss in progress like that sucks and I understand you not being motivated to continue.
It was great to be a part of such a cool project and I wish you luck with your future endeavours
